(VERY) Old. #3

I am infinite.
No soul shall ever know me wholly
I give them scraps, pieces of me
Like a shattered mirror.
One piece a soul.
Like old man J broke bread
I break me
I know it ain't good
But I have accepted it.
Sold my heart to the devil
but never my mind
I shall never harm my mind
Never
Breaking me
Helps me.

Gives my brain something to do
Provides a 'fun' me for each
and every 'friend' I have.
Helps me rise, smoothly

People weep for me, worry about me.
That is why I won't worry people with my mind
My mind might be too much for them
And my sorry excuse of a leftover heart
Will not take anymore serious dissapointments

(Really) Old. #2

Who are you supposed to be?
You burst into my life
Put your stamp on my being
Branded me for life eternity

You first got to know me
And then me
And all the other me's
You fought your way
Close to my core
Too close.
It closed.

Who the fuck do you think you are?
Are you it?

You told me I was too much
Too much for you to take
But ain't that what you're here for?

If you can't, who can?
Test yourself.

For me.

Because if you are who
I think you are.
There's no way in hell
I'll ever let you run away.

Be brave, harden your heart
Be rational, clear your mind
Were you really planning
on letting me down?

Old. #1

An easy swing of mind at his touch, his look, his feel.
If he keeps swaying me like that how am I supposed to heal?

Relentless pursuit until I either stop or start
I think I'm losing my mind for the sake of my heart.

Random unfinished.

I see you walking along the very edges of my mind that don't exist
you reach out to me time and time again but I can't seem to grab
your hand, fingers outstretched wide in my general direction but
swaying ever so slight.

Nails polished in colours I can't comprehend on fingers adorned
with rings from countries I have yet to see.

Oi. Thanks.

I've always wondered what would happen
if skies were green and grass blue.
But now I think I can see what it's like,
now that I've gotten to know you.

Ever since that day my world got scrambled,
you took my sense out dancing in the rain.
And ever since that very day
things just haven't been the same.

Pink became bearable and black not always needed
Kids and puppies didn't have to die.
Smiles were common, strangers got some
As I waved my teenage rage goodbye.

Sometimes they come back to haunt me
But you've taught me how to fend them off
Sometimes it still freaks me out, though
This constant sense of this thing called love.
